A Message from Lisa Tennant, Founder of Chair Circle
“Chairing is a unique kind of leadership. It can be hugely rewarding, but also surprisingly lonely.
Over the years, I’ve often found myself wishing for a trusted space to talk through challenges that only another Chair would understand — whether it’s navigating complex Board dynamics, managing a crisis, or simply staying sharp in a fast-changing world.
I created Chair Circle to offer that space: a place where Chairs, Vice Chairs, and Committee Chairs can connect with peers, exchange ideas, and build the skills, confidence and network we need to lead thriving Boards.
As a Board Dynamics specialist and experienced Chair myself, I know how important it is to invest in your own leadership — and how rare it is to find honest, practical conversations focused specifically on the role of the Chair. That’s what Chair Circle is here to change.”
